Sportster tank chop 1







Sportie tank, nice looking from the factory. Not wild enough for us though. Frisco treatment is on the cards. This is a little how-to for people who like the look and want to have a go. Remember its only metal and mistakes can be sorted out. Do It! Do It!
Cut the bottom off the tank keeping an eye open for the air breather pipe.
Cut the filler out
Cut the tank in half (eye balling is good for center or use two set squares either side with a ruler)
4" 1mm cutting disk was used to prevent heat distortion.
